SUMMARY:Spring concert: Brahms German Requiem
DESCRIPTION:Our Spring Concert features one of the glories of the Romantic 
 choral repertoire.  Join us for this performance of Brahms' magnificent E
 in deutsches Requiem (German Requiem).  Composed in the wake of the doubl
 e loss of his mother and his close friend and mentor Robert Schumann\, the
  work is imposing in scale\, yet consolatory in tone\, ending with a seren
 e message of hope.  Plus\, opening the programme\, the orchestra will tre
 at us to Mendelssohn's atmospheric seascape\, the 'Hebrides' Overture.\n\n
